Transplant Coordinator

Gieetha is working as a TransplantCoordinator for MOHAN foundation. Armed with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Madras University, she underwent a rigorous 6 months training programme by MOHAN foundation in 2014 to become a Transplant Coordinator. During the training she was placed in different hospitals like Fortis Malar and Global Health City to gain first-hand knowledge about organ donation. She was involved in co-ordinating several multi organ donation cases during this deputation.

She formally joined MOHAN Foundation in April 2015 and has since been deputed in Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital as a grief counsellor and transplant coordinator. In this past one year she has assisted in 4 multi organ donations and has helped to save the life of 12 people. Her aim is to make maximum number of people aware of the cause of organ donation. Her skill in designing has made her an asset to MOHAN Foundation. She is always cheerful and the phrase – “can’t do it” doesn’t exist in her dictionary.
